Jason Robert Punch, born July 12, 1977, passed peacefully on May 16th after a month long battle with organ failure. He was 41. Originally from Natick, Jason treasured his time in Red Bank, NJ and spent the last ten years in Boston.
Jason was brilliant and clever with a razor sharp wit. His love of music was surpassed only by his love of books. He had an uncanny ability to excel at everything and fit in everywhere, spending time in the advertising and fashion industries. But, it was his passion for landscape architecture and design that made him happiest, and he was a talented mason.
He was a gifted athlete and a nationally ranked youth tennis player. His mind was a steel trap of sports history that bested Stump the Schwab and anyone foolish enough to bring up sports trivia. Jay loved to golf and played for as long as he was able with his closest friends.
Jason was, simply, the smartest, funniest guy in any room.
He is survived by his son, Aidan Punch of Natick; his sister, Baila Punch of Dorchester; his mother, Ellen Davis-Punch of Waltham; his father, Joseph Punch of Newton; and his brother, David Punch and family of Walpole.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd from 5 – 8pm at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA.
