Anthony "Tony" J Ferlazzo

Anthony “Tony” Ferlazzo of Natick passed away at the age of 91 on November 30, 2022. A caring family man, Tony was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Papia) Ferlazzo. Devoted father of Carol Manning and her husband Jamey, Nancy Ferlazzo Foody and John Ferlazzo. Loving grandfather of Andrew Manning and his wife Samantha, Alyssa Manning Gramajo and her husband Axel. Great grandfather of Amaia, Alex, Luke, Colin and Liam. Tony grew up in Newton Highlands and was one of nine children of the late Joseph and Nancy (LaCava) Ferlazzo from Filicudi, Italy. 

Serving in the Korean War, Tony was a medic in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed a long career as partner and treasurer at CompRep Associates. Tony loved NE sports, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. At age 15, he watched the 1946 World Series from a tree on Lansdowne St., catching a glimpse of Ted Williams. Sadly, the Red Sox lost, but in 2004, his dream finally became a reality! He was also an avid golfer and played regularly at Sassamon Trace Golf Club in Natick winning many senior championships. He was a proud member of the Natick Sons & Daughters of Italy. Passionate about the ocean, Tony could be found on his sailboat at Marina Bay sailing around the Boston Harbor Islands or enjoying his home on the Cape Cod Canal. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend funeral services at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street NATICK COMMON on Friday, December 9, at 9 a.m. Followed by Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, 44 East Central Street (Rt. 135), Natick at 10 a.m. Interment at Dell Park Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours are Thursday, December 8 from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, 34 Washington St., Suite 310, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
