Anthony "Tony" Paul Rufo, Sr.

Anthony “Tony” Paul Rufo Sr. in Wayland, formerly of Brighton and Natick, passed away on May 19, 2023 after living with late stage Colon Cancer for 10 years. Devoted father of Kathryn “Katie” Rufo Barksdale and her husband Andrew Barksdale of Pittsburg, PA, TJ Rufo-Curran and his husband Sean of Natick and the late Michael James Rufo.  Cherished brother of Mary Rodgers and her husband Bob of Upton, and Joanna McLaughlin and her husband Paul of Center Harbor, NH.  Former Spouse and Friend of Karen Rufo of Whitinsville. Uncle of Lisa Lay and her husband Richard, Paul Michael McLaughlin and his wife Jamie, Joey Cincotta and his wife Lexi and the late Robbie Chiulli.  Son of the late Biagio and Mary (DeRubeis) Rufo.

Visiting Hours are Tuesday May 30th  from 4-8pm at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home at 4 Park Street in Natick Common. Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday May 31th at 9:30am, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Good Shepherd Parish in St. Zepherin’s Church 99 Main Street Wayland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland. 

Tony was a longtime Operating Room Nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, avid golfer and softball enthusiast.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Care Dimensions Hospice House 125 Winter Street Lincoln, MA 01773.
