Avril Conant Bacon

Avril Conant Bacon, 68, of Natick, MA, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2023, at home.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Katharine D. (Newbury) McGill and the late Francis L. Bacon.

Avril had worked as a community engagement specialist for Southern Middlesex Opportunity Council for 8 years. Prior to that she was the Executive Assistant to the Physician Director of the Emergency Department at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Natick Garden Club, the Natick Center for the Arts and the Natick Co-ed Volleyball League.

Besides her mother, she is survived by a brother, Geoffrey Bacon, MD and his wife Marilyn of Hampton, VA, a sister-in-law, Ellen Bacon of Monroe, NC, an aunt, Susan Newbury of Concord, MA, two nieces, Katharine Bacon of Vienna, VA and Genna Bacon Rehovich of Purcellville, VA, a nephew, Matthew Bacon of Charlotte, NC, four cousins, Hilary Gabrieli of Boston, MA, Brooks Bacon of New York City, NY, Elizabeth Newbury of Hudson, MA and Joshua Newbury of Fairhaven, MA, and her beloved yellow naped amazon parrot, Agatha. Avril is predeceased by her brother, Charles K. Bacon, MD (in 1997).
