Barbara A. (Cochran) Lavin

Barbara A. (Cochran) Lavin, 90, of Upton, MA, formerly of Natick, MA, passed away. Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Royal Wayland Nursing Home, Wayland, MA.

She was the wife of the late Robert Lavin.

Born in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of the late Elwin and Barbara (Harley) Cochran.

Barbara had worked as a designer and illustrator in the fashion publication industry for many years.  She was a Graduate of Mass Art.  She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, arts & crafts and gardening.  Barbara was an unparalleled soul.  She never judged anyone for their faults and she would strive to make sure others were taken care of before her own needs.  She was unconditionally loved by her family and friends.  She will be missed deeply and remembered forever. 

She is survived by a son, Edward “Ted” Lavin and his wife Christine of Upton, MA, a daughter, Lisa Indelicato of Natick, MA, four grandchildren, Michael Lavin, Justine Larter, Tamera Thatcher and Ryle Thatcher, and four great grandchildren, Evelyn Larter, Harrison Larter, Emily Lavin and Landon Lavin.  She was the grandmother of the late Thomas Indelicato and sister of the late Mickey Cochran.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 10-11AM, in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON.  A memorial service will follow at 11AM in the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
