Benson Hinga

Benson Mbugua Hinga, a loving son and brother, died on November 27, 2023 at the age of 39 while traveling through San Diego.

Benson is survived by his parents and younger brother, Kamenya Hinga. He is also survived by his niece Jazmine Hinga and nephew Zayne Hinga.

Benson was born in Massachusetts on December 20, 1983 to Ben and Lucy Mbugua. He graduated from Medfield High School in 2002 and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology thereafter.

Over the years Benson lived in Boston, California, New York, and Chicago. He always sought new adventures and traveling provided him with meaningful experiences and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Before his untimely passing, Benson embarked on a cross country road trip to from Chicago to Tijuana, Mexico. During these last few weeks, he did what he loved most - travel. His spontaneity and adventurous spirit accompanied by his kind and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, from 4-6pm, at the John Everett & Son’s Funeral Home, on 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 10am in Greater Framingham Community Church, 44 Franklin St., Framingham.  Interment will follow in Dell Park Cemetery, Pond St., Natick.
