Bruce L. Muldoon, age 79, of Sherborn, MA died peacefully in his home on November 3, 2024. He was born in South Weymouth, living in Newton, Plaistow NH, and Needham before marrying and building a home and a life in Sherborn. He graduated from Needham High School in 1963 and went on to attend Northeastern University, obtaining a BS in Education - General Science in 1968. He continued his love of education, obtaining a MST in Geology and Geophysics from Boston College in 1970.
Bruce taught Earth Science at Wellesley Middle School from 1968-2003 while also teaching Earth Science at Northeastern University from 1970-1976. He was a firefighter with the Sherborn Fire Department for 45 years, retiring in 2020.
Bruce had a lifelong love of gardening and upon retirement from teaching decided to turn it into a business, starting Yankee Clipper Pruning. He enjoyed time outside in nature, whether gardening, picking apples for the local farm, or fishing with the grandkids. Bruce also had a lifelong passion for his antique cars, starting with his 1966 LeMans, growing it to a small prize-winning collection that he lovingly restored. His love of cars lead him to be involved in the local Pontiac club, area cruise nights and shows for many years.
He leaves his wife Judy (Benger) Muldoon; daughter Katie (Muldoon) Moustakas, husband Demetri, and sons Theo and Niko; and daughter Kerry (Muldoon) Blossfeld, husband Tom, and daughter Wren. He was predeceased by his sister Linda C. Muldoon of Appleton, WI and by his parents Arthur and Carolyn (Coffin) Muldoon of Sarasota FL.
Wake will be held on Friday November 29th, 2024 from 3-7pm with services on Saturday November 30, 2024 at 10:30am at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, Natick, MA. A graveside service will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Sherborn, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association - www.heart.org.
