It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother Carmen Jimenez, who left us unexpectedly on August 4th, 2025, at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her daughter Maria Lopez, and leaving behind her children Maritza Garcia, Orlando Garcia, Wanda Garcia, Ana Jimenez, her grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Born into a vibrant Puerto Rican heritage, Carmen lived her life with passion, strength, and resilience. She was a devoted mother to her five children, and her presence left a lasting mark on all who knew her. Known for her love of cooking, Carmen brought people together with the flavors of her homeland. Her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of traditional Puerto Rican dishes rich with sofrito, sazon, garlic, olive oil, and love. She expressed herself through the meals she lovingly prepared.
She also had a deep love for music and dancing. When the rhythm of salsa, or merengue filled the room, she couldn't help but move with joy and grace. Dancing was her expression of freedom, a celebration of life and culture she held close to her heart. Carmen was proud of her roots and carried the spirit of her Puerto Rican upbringing in all she did. Strong-willed, deeply passionate, and full of life, she taught her children to stand tall, to speak truth, and to face the world with courage.
Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will live on in the traditions she passed down and the strength she instilled in her family.
