ARMISTEAD, Carol Ann, 79, of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, following a courageous battle with dementia and Parkinson's disease.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Virgil and Mary (Leahy) Armistead. Carol graduated from Ursuline Academy and Boston College and devoted her career to nursing.
In retirement, she volunteered with Boston By Foot, sharing Boston's history through guided tours. An avid traveler, she enjoyed hiking across the United States, traveling throughout Europe, and especially cherished family vacations in Wellfleet, creating memories her family will forever treasure.
Carol is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lori (Picard) O'Brien and her husband, Chris, of Natick; her grandchildren, Kaylee O'Brien and her fiance, Conner Cunningham, of Northborough, and Nick O'Brien and his fiance, Alexandra Fantasia, of Natick; and dear friends, Jan Hamilton and Marie Kasparian.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the memory care staff at Brookdale Cushing Park and the compassionate caregivers of Amedisys Hospice for the kindness, dignity, and care they provided.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
Her love lives on in the memories shared, the paths she walked, and the peaceful shores of Wellfleet she held so dear.
