Carol Keniry Suddath Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Carol Suddath announces her passing on January 15, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Carol was a fighter to the end, and lived every day of her life with determination, grace and purpose.

Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (Foley) Marsden, and sister of the late Marilyn “Lindy” Marsden.  She was the cherished wife of the late James Suddath.

Carol attended UMass Amherst and earned a B.A. from Framingham State University and a M.S. from Boston University.  She had a long and successful career in public relations and marketing, including positions with Sundin Associates, Carroll & Co., Eaton Financial Corporation, Hills Department Stores and Suburban World Newspapers.  She was also an adjunct faculty member at Mount Ida College, teaching Public Relations and Integrated Marketing Communications.

Always one to try a new adventure, Carol was a Justice of the Peace for many years, obtained a private pilot’s license, founded the Red Hat Society (Framingham chapter), and was a creative and talented artist.

Carol loved helping others.  Among many volunteer positions her favorites included past president – Samaritan’s Suicide Prevention Hotline and Mentor/Coach/Tutor – Friends of the Framingham Public Library EASL program.  But her greatest passion was working tirelessly for the Ryan’s Hope Foundation, a non-profit, named for her grandson, whose mission is to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in children.

Carol leaves three daughters and eight grandchildren:  Elizabeth “Lisa” and Carl Olivo of Franklin and Patrick, Tyler and Lauren; Linda and Scott Hastings of Plainville and Kaitlyn, Ryan and Hunter; and Christa and Mark Branigan of Medway and Delaney and Jack.  She is pre-deceased by David Keniry, and the father of her daughters, David Moore.

Carol loved long walks on the beach collecting sea glass and everything purple!  Her loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Carol’s love and light will live on forever.

Services will be private.  Arrangements by John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK.

Donations in Carol’s name may be made to Ryan’s Hope Foundation, 6 Maple Terrace, Plainville, MA 02762.
