Cary Holmes Obituary

Cary William Holmes of Natick formerly of North Quincy passed away on August 29, 2025.  He was born in Newton on September 5, 1941 to the late Harry and Edith Elizabeth (Cox) Holmes.  Beloved husband of Jane Holmes for 61 years.  Devoted father of Christopher Holmes, Stephen Holmes, Sarah Holmes-Klotz and Susan Payne.  Loving grandfather of Emerys, Daniel, Tyler, Brooke, Alexandra, Kai, Jonathan and Madelyn.  Cherished brother of Judy Meschinelli and Janet Jarmula.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Cary was a longtime teacher at Newton South High School and during retirement worked at the Morse Institute Library in Natick.  He was also a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.  Funeral Services and interment were held privately.
