Colleen M. Mullane, 70, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, surrounded by her beloved children. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on October 5, 1953, she was the youngest daughter of the late Francis J. and Bernice C. (Rich) Mullane.
While Colleen was a native of Brooklyn, she spent most of her childhood in Albany, N.Y., before moving to Massachusetts to raise her family.
Colleen was the devoted mother to Shea Adams (Nichlaus), Justin Dziama (Laura), Taylor Creed (Steven), and Whitney Dziama (John Cotter); doting "Grandy" to Nichlaus, Jordan, Kendall Adams, Jaycen, Jaeger and Aurelia Dziama; and soon to be baby girl Dziama-Cotter. Sister to Patricia Mullane Rutnik (Christopher). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren all of whom she cherished.
To know Colleen was to feel kindness and generosity, whether it was the result of her uncanny ability to find the perfect greeting card, through her unparalleled culinary skills, or by her impeccable comic timing that brought laughs at just the right moments. She was a hockey and soccer mom, baby whisperer, committed friend, dog lover, and caregiver to those in need. Most impressive, and probably a credit to her Irish roots, was her strength and bravery in the face of uncommon and unanticipated adversity. Colleen leaves behind a legacy of inspiration, love, and lasting memories and will be deeply missed by all blessed to have known her.
