Cory S. Lovett Obituary

Cory S. Lovett, 80, of West Yarmouth, formerly of Natick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, following a period of declining health.


Cory was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 25, 1944. He was the son of the late Lawrence L. and Lillian (Cowie) Lovett. Cory was a graduate of Belmont High School and attended Boston University School of Photojournalism as well as New England School of Art.  He was member of the Army National Guard


For over 20 years Cory worked for the Jordan Marsh Company as a Building Facilities Manager and in a similar capacity for the Marshall’s stores. Cory most recently was the Director of Public Facilities for the town of Natick from which he retired in 2011.


Cory is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sally Ann (Collins) Lovett, of W. Yarmouth. He was the loving father to a son, Jeffrey S. Lovett (Maureen -spouse) of Peabody, and daughter, Julie Lovett of West Yarmouth. Cory was also the devoted grandfather to 5 grandchildren: Conor and Ryan O’Sullivan, Shannon, Meghan and Kelly Lovett. He is also survived by a sister, Melissa Lovett Moyer and brother, Clyde Lovett, sister-in-law of Jane Collins


Funeral Service at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment Private. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Visiting hour will be held in the funeral home prior to the service from 10 – 11 am.
