Daniel Leo O'Callaghan Jr.

Daniel Leo O’Callaghan Jr., of Natick, MA, passed away, Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Newton, AM, following a sudden illness.

He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born in Natick, MA, he was the son of Maureen A. (Shea) O’Callaghan of Natick, MA, and the late Natick Police Sergeant Daniel Leo O’Callaghan Sr.

He was the grandson of the late Leo V. and Carmella (Tullio) Shea and William and Bridget (Sexton) O’Callaghan.

Daniel was employed by Kevin Kearns Tree.  He attended Natick Public Schools, graduating Natick High School in 1997.  He attended Merrimack College and graduated from UMass Boston.    

He is survived by his mother, Maureen, and many aunts, his uncle, cousins and friends.

His passion was skiing, and he enjoyed fishing.  He was an avid New England sports fan, enjoying the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics.  He was kind and loyal and most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON, Monday, July 17, 2023, at 9AM.  Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick, at 10AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 180 Pond St., Natick.  Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
