Dianna M. (Cullen) Ryan, 80, of Natick, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Dianna was a retired employee of Leonard Morse Hospital, where she served for many years as a medical secretary. She was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Florence E. (Kemp) Cullen and the wife of the late John J. Ryan, Sr. She had been a resident of Natick for the past 52 years.
Born in Boston, raised in Weymouth and then Newton, MA, Dianna was a graduate of Our Lady of Christian Help High School in Newton in 1962.
For the past 32 years, Dianna most enjoyed her role as Nana to her 9 grandchildren, attending as many Soccer, Football, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Basketball, Hockey, Swimming, Dance, Marching Band and Drum Corps events as possible. Seen wearing Natick colors, Norwood colors, or St Mary’s colors, Nana Dianna was the biggest fan. She was a very active participant in the St Linus Church community. A former member of the church choir, a CCD instructor for many decades, a Eucharistic Minister for nearly as long. Her close friendships with those in the parish were well cherished.
She is survived by her children, John J. Ryan, Jr and his wife Marie of Norwood, Theresa Traniello and her husband Tony of Revere, Christine Ryan of Natick, Kathleen Leombruno and her husband Joseph of Natick, and Edward Ryan and his partner Chris of Norwell. She was the proud grandmother of Cullen, Devon (& Kendyl), Cameron, and Jaden Ryan; Edward (& Cassandra) Traniello, Monica (& Hugh) Perkins, Ava, Austin, and Aidan Leombruno. She was also great-grandmother to Malia Traniello. She leaves behind her sister, Paula Reilly, of Wayland, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sheila Cullen
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday March 28th, at 10a.m. at St Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick. Followed by a burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham
