Donald Joseph Rozon of Natick formerly Brookline, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2023, after living a joy-filled life of 87 years. He was born July 21, 1936, in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he was born and raised until his move to Natick, Massachusetts in 1969. Don was a man who led with his heart. This brought him to serve as a Corporal in the United States Marines following his high school graduation from Brookline High School, to serve as a Brookline firefighter for 33 years, and to pursue an associate degree from Mass Bay.
He enjoyed traveling around the world with his friends, spending time outdoors doing yard work, eating at his favorite restaurant (Station 5), and golfing at the local golf courses following his retirement. Everything he did, he did it with his whole heart. But above all, his heart led him to share his passion for life with his family. Whether it was his siblings, his wife, his children, or his grandchildren, he always made sure to attend and support his family at every event; he was their biggest cheerleader. While Don was proud of everything he had accomplished in his life, he was most proud of his family and who they have grown up to be.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou (Mahoney) Rozon; his cherished sister-in-law Barbara (Mahoney) McGee; his daughters Donna Rozon, Patricia (Rozon) Foley and her husband Timothy Foley, Barbara (Rozon) Verna and her husband Christopher Verna, and Elizabeth (Rozon) Heffler and her husband Steven Heffler, all of Natick; the lights of his life, his grandchildren Donald Foley, Sophia Verna, Francesca Verna, Meghan Foley, Cameron Verna, Dominic Verna, Ryan Heffler, Evin Heffler, and the late Connor Heffler; his many nieces and nephews; and his siblings Mary and the late Vincent Martino of Watertown, Nancy and the late Don Fraser of Bellingham, James and Moira Rozon of Florida; predeceased by Dolly Kearns, William Rozon, Alice Hart, Jean McAndrew, Rita Varnum, Robert Rozon, John Rozon, and Arthur Rozon.
