Donald “Don” E. Nix, 74, of Natick, MA, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at home.

He was the husband of Chrisann (Chapman) Nix.

Born in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late Oscar E. and Norma (Smith) Nix.

Don had worked as a truck driver for Ben & Jerry’s Dairy Farm for 30 years, retiring in 2016.  He was a Veteran of the US Air Force serving during Vietnam.  After retirement, Don had worked for the Natick School Department driving school buses.   He loved his prize Challenger and watching his grandchildren play the sports they loved.  The daily interactions with the kids on his bus, always put a smile on his face. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, James D. Nix and his wife Cynthia of Medway, MA, two daughters, Kara J. Krauss and her husband Jason of Mendon, MA, and Stephanie A. O’Neill and her husband David of Braintree, MA, two brothers, Stephen Nix and Douglas Nix both of Waltham, MA, a sister Julia Nix of Waltham, MA, and six grandchildren, Drew, Cameron, Jack, Max, Olivia and Gavin.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
