It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Jean LEGARE, (Cunniff) Age 70, of Dover NH, who died peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
She was predeceased by her husband John Legare, her brother David Lindeman, her sister Susan Edgerly & husband Charles, and her parents Lillian Dernier, Thomas Cunniff & Tisy.
Donna had many talents, she loved theatre. She also worked as a social worker running a group home for special needs in Nashua NH. But her Rainbow Puppet Theatre was what she was MOST proud of. She performed at parties and at big events sending a clear message thru her puppets about topics like stranger danger, personal body safety, bullying, kindness, and how to cross the street safely. The consistent motto: "if you see someone without a smile on their face, give them one of yours, it will brighten their day" Was truly her person through and through.
When she was not performing, in theatre, karaoke or with her puppet stage, she could always be found where the music was. She had a knack for reading people and their emotions. She was a wonder and force. She will be missed more than there are words for.
She is survived by her loving daughter Deandra “Dee” Trahan (Venezia) and her partner Kristen Field, grandsons Lowell Trahan and Alex Schwartz of NH, sister Sandra DeCola and partner Stephen Bell of Framingham, sister Margaret Muttart & her husband Doug of Watertown and brother Robert Steele of Watertown. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and the special staff at Riverside Rest Home that truly grew to love and respect her.
No formal services will be held at this time. Instead, Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life.
