Dr. Arnold Sheinis, 95 of Natick, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 12, 2023
Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Irving and Ruth Sheinis. He attended City College of New York starting at age 15. After receiving a Liberal Arts degree, he was accepted at the prestigious Cooper Union College of Art, where he received a degree in Fine Art. After serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict, he attended George Washington University Medical School.
Arnold and Betty first met while attending Cooper Union College of Art in New York. This led to a lifelong passion for the arts, putting on several exhibitions of his works.
He was the beloved husband of the late Betty Sheinis (d. 2012). Arnold was the devoted father to Andrew I. Sheinis and his wife Cietta, Philip A. Sheinis and his wife Debbie, and Daniel M. Sheinis and his wife Himiko; Devoted grandfather to Brianna Sheinis, Jake Sheinis, Josh Sheinis, Haley Sheinis, Ian Sheinis, Arlo Sheinis and Peter Sheinis; Cherished great-grandfather to Taryn Sheinis. He is also survived by his brother, Lester Sheinis of New York.
Visitation at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
