Edward F. Hughes, 77, of Westborough, MA, passed away suddenly on March 26, 2026.
Born in Natick, MA, he was the son of the late Helen (Conroy) Hughes and Francis Hughes. Ed graduated from Natick High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country in the National Guard. He later earned both his Bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Suffolk University.
Ed enjoyed successful careers in the high-tech industry and later in residential real estate. He was known for his intelligence, kindness, generosity, and subtle sense of humor. He also had a lifelong love of travel, visiting destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Thomas Hughes. He is survived by his sister Patricia Hughes Boudreau; his brother A. William Hughes and husband Steven Patrick; his niece Renée (Boudreau) Cather and husband Michael Cather; his nephew Ryan Boudreau and wife Weena (Kanchanatiwa) Boudreau; his nephews Michael Hughes, and Liam Patrick-Hughes; as well as five grand nieces and nephews, Helena, Jacob, Morgan, Tucker, and Preya.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 1 at 11:00 AM at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills.
