Frances J. (Annecchino) Zacchilli

In Salem NH, former longtime Natick resident, passed away in her 100th year on Monday March 29, 2021. 

Daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Juliano) Annecchino.  Beloved wife of 69 1/2 years of the late Eresto T. "Tony" Zacchilli.  Devoted mother of Linda Ann Thompson and her husband Dennis of Wareham, Richard P. Zacchilli of Londonderry NH and his late wife Cynthia Chouinard Zacchilli.  Loving grandmother of Lisa Romano and her husband Joe of Malden, Christina Zacchilli of Cambridge, and Nicholas Zacchilli of New York City.  Proud great-grandmother of Joseph and Anthony Romano.  Sister of the late Louis Annecchino, Mary Napolitano, and Rose Finelli.

Frances enjoyed dancing, an activity she shared with her husband throughout their married life.  They danced every Saturday night, often with a large group of friends.  Among their favorite dance halls were those in Waltham, Dedham, and Hopedale, Ma.  She was an avid walker as well, walking several miles each day, rain or shine.  Even into her 90’s, she would walk around the Greystone Farm assisted living facility, to the amazement of the nursing staff. 

Frances was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s church, where she would walk from her South Main St. home each day to attend daily mass.  Devoted to family and fond of children, she was proud to be a grandmother and great-grandmother.  She herself was the last survivor of four siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, on Thursday, April 8th at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
