Gayle J Valle-Blake Obituary

Cape Elizabeth, Maine - It is with shock and great sadness that we share the death of our sister, Gayle Valle-Blake, from a tragic car accident on April 30, 2026.

Gayle was born on January 1, 1954, in Framingham, Massachusetts to Jean (Langley) and Frank “Clint” Valle. After the death of her husband, Jean met and married Donald M. Dadmun. Gayle had many happy memories of growing up with her three brothers, traveling and camping with the family. After graduating from Framingham North High School, she obtained a bachelor’s degree from Salve Regina College. She worked as a medical laboratory technologist in Rhode Island and Maine, most recently working at InterMed. Though she “retired”, she enjoyed continuing to work there per diem until her death.

Gayle was an independent and resilient woman. She lived life to the fullest and had numerous passions. In her younger years, she loved skiing in the US and Europe. She enjoyed crafting, brewing beer, gardening, being outdoors, reading, watching movies, cooking, and the arts. Her license plate read “CRAFTR” which was an understatement. She didn’t meet a craft she didn’t want to learn! A member of MOAC, Gayle explored many places in Maine and even joined a canoe trip to North Carolina with the group.

She was a pro at deviled eggs and could be counted on to bring them to every family gathering where they never lasted long. Gayle was a patron of the arts and enjoyed going to concerts and theatrical productions. Her yearly time-share in Bethel, Maine brought her great joy.

Gayle is survived by her brothers, Brian Valle of Westbrook, ME, Donald (Sharon) Dadmun of South Portland, ME, and Dean (Becky) Dadmun of Cape Elizabeth, nieces and nephews Shawn Valle, Sarah Dadmun, Emma Dadmun, Daniel Dadmun, and Maggie Dadmun, and her beloved Scottie, Smudge.
