Gregory Buchanan, 70, of Natick died peacefully August 4, 2024. Born in Baddeck, NS, graduated from Natick High School. He worked in construction, masonry in western and eastern Canada and lastly Palmer Construction until he sustained a traumatic brain injury in 1982. This derailed his life. Greg was a lover of sports, Boston Bruins and a lover of rock and roll and all things fun. He could still win a cribbage game with whoever would take the challenge. Greg was a spicy character and will be missed by all.
Beloved son of deceased parents: J. Christene Buchanan (2019) and William A. Buchanan (1976); Grandson of the late Malcom and Mary (Greenwell) Dean, of Tarbot, NS and Dan Meil and Euphemia (Taylor) Buchanan, Goose Cove, NS; he leaves one child, Christopher MacDonald, Ontario, and his mother Anna (Brian) Briggett, NS.
Greg leaves sister Sylvia (Philip) Quatrale, Plymouth, MA; brother, Robert Buchanan, Ontario; his nephew Robert W. Soule, Worcester, who care for Greg since his injury to his death; Michael (Sarah) Quatrale, Pembroke who entertained him for every holiday; Nicole (Hanz) Salzsieder, Marshfield who entertained for birthdays etc. and very special to Greg; Amber Braucher, Ashley (Joe) Braucher; Adrian Batya and grandniece Marlee Lanham, Ohio and six other grandnieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, Natick, August 24, 2024, 10-11:30am. Followed immediately by a Prayer Service. All relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a future date and interment of ashes in Riverside Cemetery, North River, Nova Scotia will be his final resting place.
