Howard McClure Fisher, 90, of Westwood, MA, formerly of Sherborn, passed away on April 30, 2021. Born in West Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Howard Voelkler Fisher and the late Margaret McClure Fisher.
Howard grew up with his three siblings in Wyomissing, PA. He was a star student and athlete who continued on to play basketball at Amherst College and graduated with honors.
Howard spent the majority of his career at The Gillette Company leading their strategic advertising initiatives. Howard’s family was most important to him as he was truly a devoted family man. Married 55 years to his cherished wife Dixie, together they raised their three daughters in Sherborn, MA. Howard will always be remembered for his tireless dedication to “his girls.” His greatest attribute was the kindness, care and love he showed to others. He loved to share his jokes with anyone who was within an earshot, and often surprised a crowd with his one-liners. Known as “Poppa” to his grandchildren, Howard was a devoted grandfather. His kind and gentle spirit will carry on in each of them as they dearly loved and treasured their loving grandfather.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Caddell Fisher of Westwood, their three daughters, Alison Fisher Malm of Sherborn, Kristina Caddell Grace of Dover, and Leila Margaret Dillon of Sherborn. Dear brother of Elizabeth Fisher of Springfield, VA, and Victor B. Fisher of Cockeysville, MD. Loving grandfather of Cloe, Anabelle, and Jagger Grace, John (Jack) and Timothy Dillon, and Taylor and Zander Malm. Howard was predeceased by his sister Margaret “Peggy” Fisher and grandson Trevor Malm.
