James F. Kane Obituary
James F. Kane of Natick passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. He was 66.
Known as “Jim” or “Jimmy,” he was born on September 2, 1959, to the late Joseph and Virginia (Morris) Kane.
A gifted athlete, he excelled in football, baseball and swimming, and later became an avid skier and an accomplished golfer.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army, with postings in Georgia and Germany. He later founded Framingham Fire & Safety, which he ran with independence and pride.
A skilled storyteller and conversationalist with unmatched wit, Jim had an ability to connect with people of all walks of life and had a natural way of putting others at ease, often with humor. He showed his love not through grand gestures, but by consistently showing up for those around him.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Kane O’Donnell, with whom he shared a lifetime of meaningful moments, and her husband Zach of Sudbury; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Eloise; his brothers Joe (Kathy), John (Laurie) and Jerry; and his niece and many nephews, who he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his sister Donna.
Visiting hours will be held May 29 from 10–11:30 a.m. at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick Common. Followed by Service at 11:30am. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Father Bill’s & MainSpring or The Gavin Foundation.
