Janet Pratt, aged 88, peacefully passed away on July 4. Born and raised in Natick, MA, Janet's roots were deeply embedded in a community rich with history and tradition. In the early days of her life, while still in school, she met Tom—her future husband—when they were in the 7th grade, setting the stage for a lifelong partnership.
A devoted homemaker, Janet was cherished by her family and community alike, dedicating much of her life to nurturing her home and those around her. Her days were filled with the joy of watching her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, and her love for family was evident in every aspect of her life.
Janet was known not only for her tender care at home but also for her passion for gardening and the quiet pleasures of life at her cottage in Maine. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and warm smile endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was always remembered for her love of children and her legendary banana bread—a small, sweet reminder of the comfort and care she brought to every gathering.
She is survived by her children and their loved ones: Cheryl and Ron Nation, Karen and Scott Libby, Sharon and Joseph Correia, Kimberly McHugh, Thomas Pratt, Rodney and Judi Pratt, Richard Pratt, Victoria and Anthony Russo. Janet leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and a deep, abiding love for her family.
Her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who knew her, as she remains forever in our hearts with the simple yet enduring grace of her smile and the sweetness of her presence. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, service information to follow. For directions and guest book please visit www.everettfuneral.com
