Janice Marie (Judge) Chafin

Janice Marie Chafin, 78, of Natick, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Janice was born in Natick, the daughter of the late James H. and Elizabeth (McMahon) Judge. She was raised in Weston, attending local schools. Janice studied Accounting at Northeastern University and Network Engineering at Clark University.

Janice owned and operated the Treasure Chest Gifts Store in Falmouth for 8 years. In her life, Janice was a devoted wife, mother and nana and enjoyed cooking and gardening, she was also a creative artist. 

Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Jack Arland Chafin Jr., of Natick; her sons, Christopher McLeod and girlfriend Kim Meader, of Hudson, Jeffrey McLeod and his wife Jennifer, of Wayland, Gregory Lanoue and his wife Gayle, of Natick; her daughters, Lisa McCammon and her husband Michael, of Bolton, MA, Tracy Gallagher and her boyfriend Matt Lopez, of Marlborough, MA; step-children, David Chafin and his wife Ellen, of Canton, MA and Deb Carleton and her husband Jim, of Hingham, MA; brother, James H. Judge, Jr.  and his wife Teresa, of Bedford, NH; 21 grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, and her beloved puppy, Jellybean.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in the funeral home, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
