Janice L. (Riley) Peterson of Marlborough and formerly of Natick passed away peacefully into the presence of her lord on July 20, 2025. She was born in Cambridge on September 17, 1946 to the late Norman and Ruth (Stevenson) Riley. Beloved wife of Allan Peterson. Devoted mother of Gary Nelson and his wife Gladyce of Bellingham, James Nelson and his wife Kristy of Pascoag, RI and stepmother of William Peterson of Falmouth. Sister of Barbara Laflamme of Grafton, Marilyn Zaino and her husband Frank of East Greenwich, RI, Kenneth Riley and his wife Lori of Rumney, NH, and sister-in-law of Linda Morgan of Framingham. Loving grandmother of Keith Bogan, Cory Bogan, Trevor Nelson, and Jamie Nicole Nelson. Great grandmother of Owen Bogan, Cal Nelson, Elisabeth “Lilly” Nelson and Evy Nelson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jan enjoyed time at the beach, bible studies, going on motorcycle rides with her husband and spending time with her family. Funeral Services will be private per the family’s request. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jan may be made to Crossroads Community Church 1341 Edgell Road Framingham, MA. 01701.
