Jeanette M. (Gay) Slattery

Jeanette M. (Gay) Slattery, 94, beloved Mom, Gram and Great-Grammy, passed away on April 13, 2025.

Born March 15, 1931, to the late Carleton B. and Nettie Gay. Jeanette joined Roche Brothers as a cashier in 1974 when the store opened and retired 46 years later. She cherished the many friendships she made along the way. She enjoyed spending time in Humarock with family and friends walking the beaches, looking for sea glass and playing cards. She loved the holidays with her grandchildren. Every year she would have a jellybean hunt at Easter for the grandchildren. Christmas always included memorable Yankee Swaps. She would get so mad if you took her scratch tickets away!  

Jeanette was the devoted mother of Michael Slattery and his partner Lynn Graff of Centerville, Donna Cohen and her husband Ronald of Natick, Daniel Slattery and his wife Donna of Natick, and the late Joseph Slattery and his wife Maureen of Norwood. She was the mother-in-law of Robin Slattery of Natick.

Loving grandmother of Shannon Slattery, Lainey Slattery (Timothy), Michael Slattery, Jr. (Casey), Kimberly Tyler (Robert), Jeffrey Cohen (Andrea), Eryn Hopkins (Emery), Brian Slattery (Polianna) and Liam, Caitlin and Brendan Slattery. Great-grandmother of Jameson, Scarlett and Camille Slattery, Rogan and Olive Shine, Marian Hopkins, Harlow and Leighton Tyler, Lorinda and Tanner Cohen and Caiden and Sienna Slattery. 

Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Slattery, Jr. and siblings Carleton B. Gay, Jr. and Edward Gay.

Visiting hours on Thursday April 17th from 10am-12pm at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, Natick, MA.  Followed by a Service at 12pm.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend

Interment will be private.
