Jesse Gilbert Sutherland

Jesse Gilbert Sutherland, 82, of Natick, MA, passed away, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham, MA, surrounded by family.

He was the husband of Josephine (Culcasi) Sutherland, who just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary last month.

Born in Lawrenceburg, KY, he was the son of the late Jesse and Evelyn (Drury) Sutherland.

Mr. Sutherland had worked for the Town of Natick as a civil engineer for many years.  He had also worked as a school bus driver for Sojourn Transportation Company and Michael J. Connolly & Sons.  15 years, retiring in 2020.  He really enjoyed driving the children wherever they needed to go.  He was an avid bowler and loved spending all the time he could with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed gardening, watching the hummingbirds and watching his favorite shows on tv.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Jesse S. Sutherland and his wife Kelly of Rutland, MA, two daughters, Denise Marrone and her husband Giuseppe of Natick, MA and AnnMarie Bilton and her husband Derek of Framingham, MA, two sisters, Joy Riley and Carlotta Hyatt both of Lawrenceburg, KY, and four grandchildren, Jaime, Jesse, Derek and Kyla, and many nieces and nephews.  He was also the brother of the late Jewell Sutherland and Donnie Sutherland of Lawrenceburg, KY.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 2-4PM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON.  Funeral services will follow at 4PM in the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
