Joanne Irene Billo Passed away, at Beth Israel Deaconess Needham hospital, on March 7, 2025 with her husband, Joe, at her bedside. She was 85 years old. Joanne was the daughter of the late Ellis E. and Irene McIntyre of Brantford, Ontario. She is survived by her husband, her son, David, of Stoughton and his wife, Kathryn; her daughter, Julia Woodard of Westwood and her husband, Dr. Eric Woodard; and her daughter, Sarah Pattee of Cumming, Georgia and her husband, Corey. She leaves her seven dear granddaughters, Grace Pattee, Jennifer Billo, Theresa Billo, Ellie Pattee, Caroline Woodard, Katrina Billo and Vivienne Woodard. She also leaves her two step-grandsons, Matthew Woodard of Farmington, Connecticut and Daniel Woodard of Arcadia, California, his wife, Sue; and their children, Owen and Phoebe.
After high school in Brantford, Joanne graduated from Hamilton Teachers College and subsequently taught in elementary schools in Brantford and Hamilton, Ontario. After moving to Natick, Joanne initiated a volunteer tutoring program at Lilja Elementary School and later worked as a career counselor at Natick High School and at The Education Collaborative in Wellesley. Her husband, Joe's career took the family for a one-year sabbatical in Las Cruces, New Mexico; while in Las Cruces, she taught at a rural school, where some of the youngest students did not speak English. Joanne was a loyal member of Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church. She served several times as president or co-president of Fisk Church's United Women in Faith.

A Memorial Service will be held at Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut Street, Natick MA 01760, on Saturday, March 15, at 11 AM. Followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.
