John Theophilus Lowe, 94, of Natick passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday October 12, 2025.
Born on April 29, 1931, in Boston, MA, he was the beloved son of Cuthbert and Louise T. (Carter) Lowe. John and his brother Carter spent most of their younger years in Anguilla BWI. Bay Returning to Boston in the late 1940’s to complete High School. Upon completion of high school John made the decision to enlist in the U.S Airforce. Serving honorably from 1949 until 1971. He served Active Duty in the Korea and Vietnam Wars. Serving with honor, he was recognized with the Airforce Distinguished Flying Cross for service in Korea for valor demonstrated under fire. His actions in combat saved lives. While fellow soldiers were injured and pinned down under fire, John went in to rescue them.
John is predeceased by his parents, his brother, Carter Lowe and wife Frances, his
brothers-in-laws, Lawrence Carty and Edward Morrison. He was the beloved brother to Ermine Carty, of Natick and Siebena Morrison, of Boston. He was the loving uncle to Leanna
Smith-Parker and her husband Michael Smith, Edward and Val Morrison, Christopher Morrison and Julie Mahoney, Arthur and Lorna Lowe, along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm before the funeral service.
