Joseph D. Smart, 64, of Ashland, MA, passed away, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. Borrelli.
Born in Weymouth, MA, he was the son of the late John and Shirley (Jones) Smart.
Joseph was the owner and operator of Blue 6 Auto for 30 years, retiring in 2022. He enjoyed playing hockey, camping and fishing in the Berkshires. Joseph also loved spending time with his cat Tanner and his wife Barbara.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Jack Smart of Bellingham, MA and James Smart of Millis, two sisters, Maggie Dolan of Norfolk and Bonnie Bourque of Bellingham. He was also the brother of the late Heather Smart.
