Kathleen (Mooney) Leahy

Kathleen (Mooney) Leahy, 72, of Sudbury, MA, passed away, Friday, February 24, 2023, at home.

She was the wife of Daniel Joseph Leahy.

Born in Natick, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Wentzell) Mooney.

Kathleen had worked as a senior claims analyst for IUOE Local 4 for 17 years, retiring in 2012. Kathy also spent many years working in production control at Raytheon helping organize our national defense systems. However, her true passion was looking out for her family and friends.  She also enjoyed bowling and skiing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family at Newfound Lake.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Patricia Leahy and Shawn Tuthill of Hollis, NH. Her son, Daniel John Leahy and his wife Melissa (Needel) Leahy of Belmont, MA.  As well as two brothers, William D. Mooney of Milford, MA, and Michael V. Mooney and his wife Reni of Natick, MA, and six sisters, Bettyann Trefry of Natick, MA, Deborah Mooney of Natick, MA, Sandra and Bruce Hoglander of Marietta, GA, Cynthia Mooney and Ginny Segee of Framingham, MA, Patricia and John Dunn of Natick, MA, and Amy Mooney of Natick, MA, and seven grandchildren, Liberty, Kellan, Gemma, Brooks, Lill, Bill, and Loretta as well as many more nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, NATICK COMMON, on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 4-7PM.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
