Kathleen "Katie" M. (Griffin) Powell

Kathleen “Katie” M. Powell (Griffin), 58, of Tolland, Ct, formerly of Natick, passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Katie is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Andy” Powell, of Tolland, CT. Loving mother to Griffin, Áed, and Tom. Beloved daughter of Robert and the late Patricia (Walsh) Griffin. Cherished sister of Bob Griffin and his wife Carol, Ann Freni and her husband John, Carol Griffin, and Mike Griffin. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Carol Powell, and her sister-in-law, Lauri Perkins and her husband Tom.

Katie fully believed in giving back to her community. Many hours with friends were spent supporting the Tolland Education Foundation, Tolland High School Scholarship Committee and the Friends of Tolland Music. She supported her church by teaching CCD for 5 years and singing in the choir for St. Bernard Church.

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON, on Tuesday, March 18th at 9:00 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Monday, March 17th from 4-8 pm.
