Kristians “Kris” Veinbergs, 78, of Natick, MA, husband of Judith “Judy” (Anderson) Veinbergs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023, with his family by his side after a brief illness.
Born in St. Veit, Austria, he was the son of the late Kristians V. and Olga (Kavelins) Veinbergs. Kris immigrated to the US from Latvia in 1951 with his family and considered MA home.
Kris had worked as an administrator for Brigham & Women’s Hospital for 25 years and then as a director of human resources for various security firms in the area for many years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. Kris also enjoyed volunteering at the Natick Senior Center, St. Patrick’s Church, and as an ombudsman for nursing home residents through Baypath. Most of all he cherished every moment he spent with his beloved wife, Judy.
Besides his wife, to whom he devoted his life to for 49 years, Kris is survived by a son, Michael J. Veinbergs and his wife Dorothy of Nolensville, TN, a daughter, Lori V. Devereaux and her husband Erik of Hanover, MA, five grandchildren: Jack, Joey, and Ava Veinbergs, Drew and Blake Devereaux, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nelly Liepa and Mara Pantages.
