Leonard (Len) Constantine - November 18, 1951 – April 12, 2026
Len sadly passed away on April 12, 2026, surrounded by so much love, after a courageous and determined battle with Endocrine Small Cell Carcinoma. A Resident of Natick MA and Wells, Maine, he was born in Boston, MA to James Leonard Constantine and Anna (Cavallaro) of Somerville and West Newton. Len was the devoted husband and partner for 45 years to Ginny Constantine (Wynne). He also leaves behind his beloved daughter Ashley Constantine (Spencer Palmgren) of Holliston, MA., Len was a special brother-in-law to David and Doreen Wynne of Wells, Maine, and much-loved uncle to his amazing nephews Frank and Owen Wynne of Wells, Maine. In addition, Len was the brother-in-law to Bruce Wynne (Jimmy O'Connor), Janis Bandini and Bonnie Wynne. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins as well as very dear friends, both near and far that became his chosen family.
Len was raised in West Newton, along with brothers James Constantine of Malden and George Mourgis of West Newton. He attended Newton Schools and Northeastern University. Early in his career he worked in Law Enforcement as well as the Auto Body business and was well known throughout the profession for his meticulous talent and detail to his work. Later in his pre-retirement he became an insurance adjuster, working on behalf of Auto Shops. Len was always the first to 'help thy fellow neighbor' and that trait followed him through the many organizations he was affiliated with. He was a Natick Elk Member, Natick Mason and Past Master of the Framingham Masons, a 32 Second Degree Scottish Rite Mason, A Shriner, a Notary and volunteer to the Middlesex Sheriff's Office.
Often known as the 'jokester' most didn't realize he was a very private and simple man. His passions were all things Patriots, the Celtics, March Madness, dining out, thoroughly enjoying the many vacations he shared with his family and friends, and of course his love of Wells and Ogunquit Maine, as well as the close connections he made there. Special thanks are extended to the many amazing people in his life that continually kept in contact with words of encouragement and prayers. The Tufts Oncology Team of Framingham, MA took special care of Len for nineteen months along with The Hospice Team of Care Dimensions, Lincoln, MA who also were instrumental in his final days of very special care.
Len has requested private services to be held at a later date.
In Len's memory, donations may be made to Tufts Oncology, 99 Lincoln Street, Framingham, MA 01701, attention Dr. Andrei Bandarchuck and Team. These very special individuals went above and beyond treatment and became family.
