Lois Potter Obituary

Lois Roberta ( Blandin ) Potter of Natick Massachusetts died peacefully in her home on August 4th at the age of 92.

Lois was the daughter of the late Blanche and Roy Blandin of Natick and sister to the late Linnea Fisher, the late Blanche Ciccarelli, and the late Warren Blandin.

A graduate of Natick High School, Lois worked at The Natick Trust Company where she met and married the late Arthur C. Potter. She also worked for the Natick School Department, Natick Federal Savings Bank and Tilly and Salvy’s Bacon Street Farm. She was very active at Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church and participated in the choir, Suzanna circle and quilting groups. She knitted countless blankets for the church prayer shawl missions, family and friends.

Affectionately known as Meme she leaves her four children, Gary Potter and is wife Debbie, Cheryl Anderson and her husband Steve of Franklin, Massachusetts, Jeffrey Potter and his wife Brenda of North Kingstown, Rhode Island and Laura Igo and her husband Tim of Melrose, Massachusetts, her eleven grandchildren, her ten great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Lilly.

Lois was known for her unlimited love for her family, her kind, generous heart, and instant affection for anyone she met. She had an infectious laugh and a deep love for her church where she spent countless Sunday mornings singing in the choir with her two sisters and helping with lobster rolls at the yearly church bizarre. With a love for singing, she joined a local acapella choir. She was active in her neighborhood, always greeting neighbors, walking every day that she could, and was locally famous for her homemade “Meme cookies. “

Lois will be greatly missed.
