Loretta F. (Priore) McNeil

Loretta F. (Priore) McNeil of Wayland, MA, formerly of Bellingham and Natick passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. She was the wife of the late Richard McNeil Sr.

Born in West Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Carmella (Grassey) and Palmerino Priore. She is survived by her children Judith (Robert) Hewitt, Richard (Chia) McNeil, Maryann (Christopher) McGinty and Paula (Jose) Bachman along with 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, Her sister Betty Hartwell, Sister-in-law Susan Priore and several nieces, nephews and friends.  She was predeceased by siblings Nancy Galvin and Robert Priore. Loretta was raised in Natick next door to her future husband Richard.  A graduate of Natick High class of 1953 where she excelled as a Drum Majorette. She worked as a Telephone Operator at various companies retiring from the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. Upon retirement she and Richard enjoyed homes in Florida and Cape Cod, Fourth of July celebrations with family and friends, Hosting holidays and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of her life.

The McNeil family would like to extend their thanks to the entire staff at Sunrise of Wayland for their care and support during Loretta’s’ residency there. Also to Constellation Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Loretta in the past few months.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 12, 2024, from 4-8 pm at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park St. Natick Common. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 13, 2024, at 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a Christian Mass at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central St. Natick, Burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Pond St. Natick. In lieu of flowers Donations are welcome to the American Parkinson Disease Association or The Jimmy Fund.
