Louise Vitagliano, 94, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Natick and West Yarmouth, passed away on April 10, 2025. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 23, 1930, to Italian immigrant parents, Louise lived a full life marked by continuous learning and creative pursuits.
She was married to Joseph, her devoted husband of 60 years, who predeceased her. Together, they raised four children in Natick. After his passing, Louise relocated from West Yarmouth to Florida.
Brothers Bob and Carl, and sisters Sandra and Betty predeceased her.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Linda, Marie McDonough, and Jean Brusco; her son, Joseph; granddaughters Krista, Jenna, Kylee, and Meghan Fulmer, and Caitlin Sweeney and husband Christopher; great-granddaughters Lily Fulmer, Hadley and Emerson Sweeney, and Alexandra Petok; and great-grandsons Joey and Luca Fulmer. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; she was especially close with her niece Joanne Nelson and husband Ron, who visited with her often.
A graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School (honor roll), Louise worked as an administrative assistant in the Italian department at Wellesley College. She was a Renaissance woman with diverse interests, including sewing, cooking, furniture refinishing, upholstery, and Chinese cooking. Inspired by Jack LaLanne, she maintained a lifelong habit of physical activity. Her green thumb brought joy to her family and beauty to her surroundings.
Into her 90s, Louise remained tech-savvy, using her iPhone and iPad for social media, banking, and digital payments, showcasing her intelligence and curiosity.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment following at St. Patrick's Cemetery, in Natick.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Donate | St. Jude) would honor Louise's compassionate spirit. Her legacy of love, learning, and resilience continues to inspire all who knew her.
