Lucy Janet (Rorrer) Thornquist Obituary

Lucy Janet (Rorrer) Thornquist, 91, of Natick, passed away on April 30, 2026.

Born on March 2, 1935, in Beckley, WV, Janet was the daughter of the late Theman and Luella (Maynor) Rorrer and sister of the late G.T. Rorrer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met.

Janet was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald Milton (Milt) Thornquist. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and community. She was an active volunteer at her church and worked for many years at the Natick Service Council, helping local families in need.

Above all, Janet cherished her family. She is survived by her children, John (Myrna) Thornquist, Diane (Jim) White, Nancy (Steve) Cassidy and Donald (Elaine) Thornquist; her nine grandchildren Lindsay, Ianna, James, Amanda, Patrick, Layne, Kayla, Nicholas and Timothy; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her joy.

Janet enjoyed knitting, bowling, any and all activities with friends, and spending time with her family.  If she knew that you, or anyone you knew, was expecting, she gifted you baby booties and a blanket.

Visiting hours will on May 5, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 at Everett Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick. A funeral service will be held on May 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 113 Union St., Natick, followed by burial at Dell Park Cemetery.
