Margaret Ann Eldridge passed peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 following a brief illness.
Born on November 20, 1930 to Peter and Julia (Hegarty) Eldridge in Newton, MA, Peg, as she was affectionately known, was the second of eight children. Predeceased by her husband Robert, Peg is survived by her daughter Carol Foley of Bellingham; grandson Christopher of Northbridge and his children Patrick, Ryan and Maggie of Weston; Christopher’s wife Julie and her daughters Delainey and Peyton; granddaughter Bree Charbonneau of Southborough and her husband Dennis and their three daughters Madeline, Olivia and Emma.
Peg was predeceased by her devoted son-in-law James Foley; her loving siblings Peter, Richard, Barbara and Catherine. Peg is survived by her caring brother Patrick and sisters Sabina and Julie, as well as many nieces and nephews and her extended Foley family.
Peg was an avid knitter who donated many knitted items to senior centers and hospitals. Each new member of the family was gifted a blanket or sweater made by Peg and family members were frequently on the receiving end of one of Peg’s scarves or hats.
Peg and Bob enjoyed a full life together for 67 years flying in Bob’s plane, cruising all over the globe, listening to live music and spending time with family.
A near constant vigil for Peg was lovingly led by Becky Dempsey during Peg’s final days. Rest In peace Peg, you will be missed.
There are no calling hours at this time but the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
