Margarete Karoline Alma Elisabeth Heel Crocker (Marga), 95, resident since June 2023 of Lexington, formerly of Newton, Natick, and Gloucester, MA. Beloved daughter of the late Martin and Elise (Elli) Heel of Nürnberg, Germany. Sister of the late Franz, Albert, and Ferdinand Heel. Marga was born in Nurnberg, Germany in 1928 and followed her heart to marry American soldier Dr. Allen Carrol Crocker of Boston, MA in 1953. They were married for 59 years until his death in 2012. Together they raised three children, Elli Barbara Crocker Morse (John) of Newton, MA, Philip Allen Crocker (Nina) of Irving, TX, and Monica Marga Crocker of Sun City, AZ. She was the proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Alexander (Eleanor Briggs), Brittany (Nicholas Churchill), and Evan Morse (Taylor Apostol); Rita (Gonzalo Obelleiro), Sonya (Mathieu Lefebvre), and Irene Crocker; Kelsey (David Ankrom), Ethan, and Chloe Doyon. Marga leaves six adored great grandchildren: Nolan and Sienna Churchill, Paloma and Tomomi Obelleiro, and Naomi and Anika Lefebvre. She is also survived by nieces, a nephew, and other extended family in Europe. Marga was a fine soprano, accomplished pianist, gifted visual artist, avid gardener, and chef extraordinaire. She loved animals and enjoyed the company of many cherished pets in her life. Marga steadfastly supported her husband throughout his long career as a pediatrician and clinic director at Boston Children’s Hospital, while forging a quiet, creative life of her own. Funeral arrangements by John Everett and Sons in Natick, MA. Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will take place at the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton, 1326 Washington Street, Newton, MA on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30.
