The Marie E. Picard of Waltham, age 32, went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2025 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Romania and adopted by her loving parents, William T. Picard and Michelle (Cote) Picard. Cherished sister of Ellen “Ellie” Picard. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
She was known for her infectious laugh, kindness, and politeness. Marie was a Special Olympic medal winner in several sports at Cardinal Cushing Centers, Hanover. Marie enjoyed several genres of music, which led her to join SNAP Chorus, Lexington. Marie had a community of friends from JRI Developing Abilities and SNAP.
There will be Visiting Hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Friday, April 25th, from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held in St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury, on Saturday, April 26th, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. The internment will be for family only at Dell Park Cemetery, Natick.
