Marion Ohman Obituary

Marion Ohman 96, of Wayland MA, formerly of Southington CT passed away on October 25, 2024. She was the wife of the late Ralph L. Ohman. She was born January 1, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Col. Perry A. Ball and Genevieve (Rulifson) Ball.

She was pre-deceased by her son, Steven Ohman, her brother Dr. Warren Ball and his wife Dorothy Ball.

She is survived by her son David Ohman, daughter-in-law Nannette of Natick, MA, her grandson Lee Ohman, his wife Danielle and great-grandson Steven of Upton, MA and grandson Jay Ohman of Ashland, MA.  Marion is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

For many years, Marion was very active in the Orchard Valley Garden Club in Southington CT, the Southington YMCA and her local Bocci club where she had many friends and was a friend to many.

She loved flowers, birds, the Red Sox, the Chicago Cubs, and the UConn Women’s basketball team.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or one of your favorite charities.

There will be a brief service at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home in Natick, MA on November 8, at 12pm where all are welcome.  Visitation will start at 11:30am.  For those who cannot attend the service will be live streamed at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home Facebook live page starting at 12pm. 

A private burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough, MA.
