Mary Margaret (Davis) Long

Mary Margaret (Davis) Long, 75, of Framingham/Natick, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, following a battle with cancer.

Born on January 17, 1949, in Boston, she was the daughter of Harold and Frances (McDonald) Davis. Mary was raised in Natick, moving to Framingham after her marriage to Bob on August 18,1968, where the couple raised their two girls.

Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Long, her mother and father, her mother-in-law, Barbara Wilcox, and her brother Billy. She was the cherished mother of Susan Long (Hackenson) of Upton, MA, and Marie Merchant (James) of Port Charlotte, FL. Mary adored and was very proud of her grandchildren, Samantha, Justin, Skylar, April and Bret. She was a loving sister to Bobby, Sissy, Anne, Jimmy, Ronnie and Jeannie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved dearly.

Mary and Bob were inseparable during their 50-plus year marriage. She was his ears. He was her eyes. A memorial service for Mary and Bob is planned for their wedding anniversary, August 18, 2024, 12:00 noon, at The Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road, Framingham, where Mary was a member of the church choir.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.
