Mary Monahan Obituary
Mary P. (O’Regan) Monahan of Natick, formerly of Framingham, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2024. Born and raised in Natick, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Doris (Church) O’Regan. She was the mother of three children, Christopher Monahan (wife Eri) of Japan, Melissa Pratt (wife Jackie) of VT, Timothy Monahan (wife Kelly) of MA.
She was the fun and playful Nannie to Mary Jane, Liam, Willa, and Amane. Sister to Carol Chapman (Ron), Peter O’Regan (Judi), David O’Regan (Jane), Anne O’Regan and Elaine O’Regan-Lloyd; Auntie Mary to many nieces and nephews; and treasured friend to many.
She is often fondly remembered sharing her appreciation of nature and learning with family and children through song and creative arts. She loved spreading joy and laughed at everyone’s jokes. She knew how to make everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Morse Institute Library in Natick to help spread her love of books and reading.
Funeral Service in St Paul Episcopal Church 39 East Central Street Natick on Friday April 26 at 10:00 AM. We invite you to wear your brightest colors as we celebrate Mary’s life and beautiful spirit.
