Mary Louise (Mahoney) Rozon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 1, 2024, after 85 years of an exceptional life. She was born to James and Loretta (Tellier) Mahoney in Framingham, Massachusetts, where she lived before her move to Brookline, Massachusetts and then to Natick, Massachusetts in 1969. She was the beloved wife to the late Donald J. Rozon for 61 years.
Following her high school graduation from Framingham High School, Mary Lou went on to work at Dennison Mfg., just like her mother and sisters, until she took on her most important role: becoming a mother. She enjoyed traveling the country with her family, going out for dinner with her friends, and lounging by the pool with a book in her hand. While each of these things were important to her, what she enjoyed most was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. From organizing the annual Easter egg hunt to hosting New Year’s Eve sleepover parties (exclusively for her grandchildren), Mary Lou valued creating memories that they would all hold close to their hearts forever. Everything she did was for her family; she was the best Meme any grandchild could ever have.
She is survived by her daughters—Donna Rozon, Patricia and Timothy Foley, Barbara and Christopher Verna, and Elizabeth and Steven Heffler, all of Natick; her grandchildren—Donald Foley, Sophia Verna, Francesca Verna, Meghan Foley, Cameron Verna, Dominic Verna, Ryan Heffler, Evin Heffler, and the late Connor Heffler; and her siblings—Anne Brecken (Jack) of Venice, FL, Kate Reed of York, ME, and Norman Mahoney (Pat) of Northbridge, MA. She is predeceased by her siblings—Jeanette Thomes, Lorraine McKenzie, James Mahoney, Paul Mahoney, Barbara McGee, and Michael Mahoney.
