Matilda (DeFrancesco) McCarthy

Matilda McCarthy (DeFrancesco) passed away peacefully at 94 in Westborough, MA, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Matilda was born in Boston, MA and resided in Natick most of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at the Morse Institute Library in Natick, and spending time with her family and friends.

Matilda is predeceased by her husband, John F. McCarthy and her parents, Vincent DeFrancesco and Jeanette (Pennellatore). Matilda is survived by her children, Janice Miller and husband Ronald, Carole Whelan and husband Robert, John McCarthy Jr. and wife Nancy, Paul McCarthy and wife Susan. Matilda had 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Frank DeFrancesco, Vincent DeFrancesco, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., Natick Common, on Monday, July 15, 2024, 8:30 am. Visitation from 8:30-9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00 am. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick.
