Maureen O'Leary McClain Obituary
Maureen “Mimi” O’Leary McClain, a lifelong resident of Natick, Massachusetts, passed
away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 28, 1945, to the late Daniel and Norma O’Leary, Mimi grew up in Natick and
devoted her life to serving the community she cherished. She spent her entire teaching
career with the Natick Public Schools, where she inspired generations of students through
her compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment to education. To countless
children, she was more than a teacher, she was a source of encouragement, kindness, and
confidence.
On September 24, 1977, Mimi married the love of her life, Doug. Together they built a
beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and enduring love.
Mimi was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. She is survived by
her beloved husband, Doug; her daughter, Danielle Roccio, and her husband, Mike; her
son, Jim McClain, and his wife, Rayna; and her four cherished grandchildren, Leah, Kaylee,
Maya, and Sedona, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She is also survived by her twin brother, Dan O’Leary, and his wife, Diane; her brother-in-
law, Phil Jenks; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, former
students, colleagues, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Gail
Jenks and Dorothy Cutting.
Mimi will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering
dedication to her family and students. She found great happiness in helping others,
celebrating the accomplishments of those she loved, and creating treasured memories
with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast love left a
lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched as an educator, friend, wife,
mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she
shared, the lessons she taught, and the example she set will continue to live on in the
hearts of all who knew and loved her.
